Verify accreditation yourself
Only certain people can legally issue your certificate, and accreditation is state-specific. Check the name against the right register:
- NSW: the NSW Fair Trading register of building and development certifiers lists E1 certifiers accredited to issue a certificate of compliance.
- NSW: the NSW Swimming Pool Register lets you register your pool and check whether a certificate has been issued for an address.
- QLD: the QBCC lets you search licensed pool safety inspectors and the pool safety register by address.
